People love to travel and with modern conveniences the world is becoming a smaller place. Each country, region, and city has its own attractions and traditions that appeal to travelers. Tourism is a big business that pours money into areas that get a lot of visitors. Here is a list of the top 10 cities most visited in the world in 2014.

10. Barcelona, Spain


Spain might be suffering financial woes but the city of Barcelona is attracting a large number of visitors each year. Tourist flock to see the many works of Gaudi represented throughout Barcelona, including the Casa Mila, Casa Batllo, and the Sagrada Familia. Many tourists appreciate the city’s beaches for some rest and relaxation. After strolling along Barcelona’s Las Ramblas, visitors can enjoy an authentic Spanish meal with hearty chicken and rice dishes. Tapas are another specialty that feature small servings. Diners order a variety of tapas and then share with their group.

9. Hong Kong, China


Hong Kong has a mystic all its own. As a former city of the British Empire that was returned to China after the British lease expired, it has a modern cosmopolitan feel to it.
